It was incredible to see so much passion and creativity on display during the Art X Festival. From music, performance, 2-D and 3-D art all the workshops and community involvement were incredible. Another major highlight for me was the multi-media music performance titled “Uncertainty”. At it’s core, it was an original piece composed for marimba. To accompany this, another performer controlled a light show of colored LED strips while another sent signals to what was essentially a second, robotically controlled marimba. Each note was struck by a servo controlled mallet and programed remotely. It was certainly a unique and incredibly interesting performance.
