What I Did With My Summer Vacation::Preview

Just a quick cell phone image of the proof prints from my ‘Then and Now’ project that I have been working on over the last few month for the City of Flagstaff. More info to follow in the coming weeks, for now just know that I am glad to call this project a wrap…

 

Kids with Cameras

For the last two weeks I have been teaching a workshop at the Juvenile Court here in Flagstaff. The kids were given cheap point-and-shoot 35mm cameras and sent out into the world. Unfortunately the last day when we were finally able to see the images the kids had shot, only three were able to make it to class…Here are some of the images they took, I feel like they have great vision, creativity and are generally enjoyable to look at. I tried to get them to know that their perspectives are valuable, I imagine that it can’t be easy to be a very young person in a system/program like this, I frankly doubt they get much positive reinforcement, hopefully publishing some of their images helps…

Culture Shock Interiors::September 2012

This month the Culture Shock crew built an underwater octopus/jellyfish  paradise. After a more than seven hour build, Octopus Nebula, from Denver Colorado unloaded for a sound check, and then proceded to get the crowd real octopussy until the wee hours of the morning, tentacles were flying…Here are some of the interior shots, Samantics 3d bit mapping was particularly good this time, click on the first image to be taken on an unter-the-sea journey.
