Deep in the bowels of my refrigerator…bottom shelf, behind the cheese, next to the plastic heart (yes I keep a plastic heart in my fridge) and around the corner from the un-exposed film stash sat an exposed roll of Kodak 400TX. Forgotten by the pages of time and left in a cryogenic-type stasis, the latent images taken a few months ago on my Kodak Bantam were unearthed this evening…You may remember seeing some other examples from this unique camera a while back, but just in case check them out here. Another roll of 120 from a recent excursion to MooMesa just outside Kingman, Ariz. Shot on my Yashica Mat 124G digitized using my slide-copier style diy film scanner and processed using Nix Software’s Silver Effects 2 photoshop plug in…Hit the link for more silver halide fun…

Yesterday I once again had the pleasure of visiting Flagstaff Arts and Leadership Academy to talk to a class of students about photography. For those of you who follow this blog or who know me and have had to listen to me regale you with stories of my (still not functional) Leafscan 45 and the quest for outdated technology to get this dinosaur of a film scanner to work…well it still doesn’t work, but I found a solution to my problems, it’s not quite as good, but not a bad DIY solution…

Last weekend, as those of you who follow this blog and especially those of you who follow me on Twitter know, I shot another Ragnar Relay. This time in the far north west corner of our country, throughout beautiful rural Washington. Between Jerry Forman (my accomplice) and I we shot over 4,000 frames and had a great time. Here are a few of my favorites from my take. I am quite happy with the images I shot of the runners, but many of my favorites were just of the area we explored…(make sure to click the images to see larger versions)
